The Hum on Wikipedia

Apparently somebody is highly motivated to keep the World Hum Map and Database out of Wikipedia. There were also several efforts over the past few years to completely eliminate The Hum itself as a legitimate topic for that website. I scanned some of the commentary regarding the Wiki entry on The Hum, and I ended up feeling rather disappointed that so much is being written on the topic by people who have so little knowledge about it. Apparently mating fish is a suitable theory for consideration, but not VLF radio or other legitimate inquiries.

Alas, I don’t have time to engage in Wikipedia editing wars, but if any readers out there are conversant in how Wikipedia works, feel free to edit the article accordingly.

That’s a shame re your Wiki entry. Wiki-nerds must be doing a “housecleaning” of “undesirables” as another person I follow (unrelated to Hum) who is also a Canadian, former Uni teacher, published author, political writer, etc., tweeted a few days ago that his Wiki entry/bio had disappeared into the rabbit hole, poof, vanished, gone. So at least you’re not alone. (The rabbit hole must be a very crowded place!)

As for the stupid fish & the Hum entry, they probably also said “ocean waves crashing on seabed floor” is another explanation!

Truth gets no respect in a world of “groupthink” lies. Hang in there!
