It’s starting to look like one of the commonly repeated facts about Hum hearers might be incorrect. My initial statistics were confirmed: the mean and median age for Hum Hearers is 40 years of age, with a standard deviation of 14 years. The data is distributed pretty much normally, which means there are roughly equal numbers of Hearers younger than 40 as there are hearers over 40. Because the standard deviation is 14 years, this means that roughly 2/3 of Hearers are between 26 and 54.
More to follow.
